The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (EOCF) is bringing back its popular 5050 raffle for the 2023-24 NHL season, with a focus on programs aimed at those most vulnerable in the Edmonton community, especially those in the downtown core.
The raffle will be available to purchase online on game days when the Oilers play at home. Tickets cost $5 each, and the jackpot grows with each ticket sold. The holder of the winning ticket will be drawn after the third period of each game and will receive half of the jackpot, with the other half going to support EOCF programs.
"We are excited to bring back our 5050 raffle for the upcoming season," said EOCF Executive Director Tim Shipton. "This raffle is a great way for Oilers fans to support our community while having a chance to win some incredible prizes."
The EOCF 5050 raffle has raised over $10 million since its inception in 2016. The funds have been used to support a variety of programs and initiatives, including the Oilers Autism Program, the Oilers Military Appreciation Program, and the Oilers Care Closet.
